mapAnnual International Logistics Forum “Rio de la Plata Region”

The Maritime Logistics Workgroup from Jacobs University in Bremen organises in cooperation with Kieserling Stiftung the Annual Logistics Forum themed "Rio de la Plata Region". This international event is hosting presenters from Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay and Germany, is an opportunity to exchange opinions and extend your network. Rio de la Plata connects metropolitan Buenos Aires, home of approximately 30% of the population of Argentina, with Northern Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay, Brazil and, increasingly, Bolivia. The common market of South America Mercosur within a market of 260 million people connected the region with Brazilian economy in particular. Germany is an important trade partner of the region, which shows a significant potential for development in the future.

Opening speech by Prof Dr Joachim Treusch and Prof Jens Froese as moderator.

The Blue Research and Innovation Conference
December 1-2, 2011
Copenhagen, Denmark

The Blue Reseach and Innovation Conference will be conducted for the 6th time on December 1-2, 2011 in Copenhagen. The conference takes place in the Danish Shipowners Association.

The conference aims to focus attention on research and innovation in the maritime industry. A number of speakers from different research institutions in and at home and abroad, shipping companies, harbours and other maritime business companies will discuss the current challenges in the maritime industry.


The conference will focus on the maritime research projects. Ongoing as well as finished projects will be summarized and evaluated.

   

The European Freight and Logistics Leaders Forum
November 10 - 11, 2011
Bologna, Italy

Members of the European Freight and Logistics Leaders Forum and Freight Leaders Council of Italy will meet in Bologna, Italy on November 10th and 11th, 2011. At this time the 20th anniversary of FLC and the 17th anniversary of F&L will be celebrated.

Looking to the future is the major theme of this conference, which will be held in the Palace of Archiginnasio (the oldest existing university in Europe). Forum participants will examine trans-European corridors, expand understanding of Eastern Europe and - in consecutive round table debates - compare the vision, aims and goals of the Supply side for 2020 with the views of major shippers on the Demand side.

  • Mr Gavin Roser (Secretary General F&L) who will chair the meeting and several "Open House - Audience Discussion" sessions throughout both days
