NMU Pilot Course "Ship Knowledge" will run in March 2010

 

NMU project partners are currently developing NMU modules.  Different pilot courses targeting different target groups of students and stakeholders are running simultaneously during this Spring semester at each partner university.

 

The Workgroup Maritime Logistics of Jacobs University Bremen has been developed an e-learning module element called “Ship Knowledge”. The e-learning course will run for 5 weeks starting from 8th March 2010.
NMU Stakeholders and students from NMU partner universities are invited to participate in this course. The registration deadline is until 3rd March 2010.


The Ship knowledge module introduces different types of ships, which are used widely nowadays. It describes the ships various characteristics and respective types of cargoes and their applications. Some 3-dimentional views of ships are provided, therefore learners can visualise or indicate each part, space, the size of compartment compared to the whole ship.
